You might not immediately think of Florida when it comes to wines, but the Sunshine State has many fine wineries. To celebrate harvest season, Kissimmee’s Lakeridge winery is holding its 18th Annual Harvest Grape Stomp August 18th and 19th. For a $2 donation to benefit local chapters of the Boys and Girls Club, you can participate in any number of grape stomping competitions. Any member of the family can join in the fun, and prizes will be awarded to the best stompers.
In addition to wine, attendees may purchase beer, soft drinks, and a variety of great food, all available for purchase. Musical entertainment will be provided by The Groovemasters, Marc Clermont, The Robert Harris Group, The Nightly Blues Band, and Beautiful Bobby Blackmon & the B3 Blues Band. It’s a great break from Central Florida’s usual attractions. The Lakeridge Winery is located on Route 27 in Clermont, Florida, approximately 15 miles north of the intersection with Route 192/Irlo Bronson Highway.
